2025 Most Innovative School, Best Regional College and Best Value by U.S. News & World Report

JWU’s Providence Campus has been ranked #16 among the Most Innovative Schools in the Regional Universities North category by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition underscores the university’s industry-responsive approach and its ongoing efforts to enhance curriculum, faculty development, campus life, technology and facilities.

JWU’s Charlotte Campus also received high marks, ranking in the top 30 for Best Regional Colleges South and earning a badge for Best Value in the same category. With 99% of Charlotte students receiving financial aid, JWU continues to prioritize accessibility and affordability for all students. Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs by Money

JWU’s College of Professional Studies announced it was named one of the 2024 Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs by Money.com. The ranking considers factors such as affordability, graduation rates and employment outcomes, with JWU receiving a 4-star rating.

“We are excited to be included on Money.com’s list of Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree programs,” said Cindy Parker, vice president of the College of Professional Studies. “With so many options available, we know students will find the list helpful in identifying quality online education opportunities. We look forward to providing online bachelor’s degree opportunities to students who find us through this valuable resource.”

The College of Professional Studies offers more than 50 online degree and certificate programs ranging from the associate’s level through doctoral, including a new Professional Culinary Skills Certificate. 

2025 Best Culinary Arts Schools by College Factual

JWU’s renowned culinary programs continue to shine. The Providence Campus tied for the #2 spot and the Charlotte Campus ranked #4 on College Factual’s list of Best Culinary Arts Schools. The College of Food Innovation & Technology offers a range of programs from associate degrees to a master of science in food innovation and technology, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in the culinary industry.

2025 Best Colleges for Culinary Arts in America by NICHE 

Both JWU campuses have earned top spots in NICHE’s 2025 Best Colleges for Culinary Arts in America, with the Charlotte Campus ranked #5 and the Providence Campus ranked #7. NICHE provides a comprehensive resource for students to research colleges and universities, with rankings based on student reviews, program quality, graduation rates, career outcomes and other factors.
